Methamphetamine Addiction
Methamphetamine (speed, meth, chalk, crank, ice, crystal, glass) is a potent stimulant that has longer, more damaging effects than amphetamine. Methamphetamine is snorted, swallowed, smoked, and injected intravenously. Methamphetamine can cause violent behavior, anxiety, confusion, insomnia, and psychotic episodes: paranoia, hallucinations, delusions and homicidal/suicidal thoughts. High doses of meth can lead to heart attaches and suddend death. Meth usage has been linked to the spread of HIV/AIDS, Syphilis, Hepatitis C ... due to unsafe sex practises and the sharing of needles.
