Heroin Addiction
Heroin (diacetylmorphine) is narcotic drug that is both physically and psychologically addictive. Heroin is an opiate being derived from morphine sulfate, the analgesic agent found in opium. Heroin works directing on the Central Nervous System and can be administered by injection ("mainlining" or "IV" in a vein or "IM" into a muscle), smoked (water pipe or standard pipe, mixed in a marijuana joint or regular cigarette or through a straw "chasing the dragon") or snorted up and dripped down the nose.
