Gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GHB) and its analogs gamma butyrolactone (GBL) and 1, 4-butanediol (BD) are Central Nervous System depressants that naturally occurs in the body. It is a controlled, illegal substance that in large dosed or when combined with other depressants can induce a coma and death. Its often called a "date rape drug" and a "party drug".
