Binge drinking is the consumption of large amounts of alcohol in a short period of time to get very intoxicated. It is a wide spread social practice in may parts of the World. In the short run, binge drinking could cause death due to alcohol poising. In the long run, binge drinking could lead to alcohol dependency (alcoholism).
