Acetylcholine (ACh) is a neurotransmitter found throughout the central and peripheral nervous system that is actively involved in voluntary and involuntary movement. Acetylcholine also effects the levels of other neurotranmitters. Nicotine acts on the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor sites.
